Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve® is located in my hometown of San Diego, but I did not fully appreciate its splendor until I was in my thirties. The dedication and vision of those who cherish the area have transformed 1,500 acres into an absolute wonderland, preserving it as it existed before San Diego was developed. The area is named after the rare Torrey Pine, which is found only in two areas of the world: one being this stretch of coast in La Jolla, located in San Diego County, and the other being 200 miles north in Santa Barbara County.
Torrey Pines boasts rocky cliffs that provide a backdrop to beautiful unspoiled beaches. It serves as a sanctuary for animals, including a lagoon that is essential to migrating seabirds. It is one of my most favorite places to hike, and the ocean views while doing so are breathtaking, making it a must-visit destination for coastal lovers. It's a place where I like to visit to restore and rejuvenate by breathing in the fresh salt air and getting some exercise.
Our TORREY PINES candle features a rich and crisp pine scent that evokes fond memories of wonderful day trips and serves as a reset. It is not just a holiday scent, but one that can be enjoyed year-round, just like the Reserve itself.
