The central coast of California is rugged and mountainous and has been called the longest and most scenic stretch of undeveloped coastline in the United States. Praised for its dramatic scenery, the area attracts up to 7 million visitors annually, myself included. My favorite place to visit is Big Sur, specifically an area of beach that is home to McWay Falls. McWay Falls is an 80-foot-tall waterfall on the coast of Big Sur that flows year-round from McWay Creek, located in Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The waterfall empties directly into the ocean, which makes it a tidefall during high tide. The surrounding ocean is a beautiful turquoise blue, and it's carved into jagged rocks that form a natural cove. The Pfeiffer Falls Trail wraps along the coastline, bringing rich, damp air and cool shade from the wooded Redwood trees. It's a gorgeous place to explore with unforgettable views and memories to last a lifetime. Our SAND + FOG scent is as luxuriant as the area itself and one to relish.
